Tula's R&D center "Octava DM" (part of Rostec) has announced the release of new desktop microphones on a "gooseneck" - MKE-250-1 and MKE-250-2. Sales are scheduled to start in June 2025.
The new models are an evolution of the MKE-250 electret condenser microphone for conference calls - a microphone that converts sound vibrations into an electrical signal using a capacitor. These devices are characterized by high speech intelligibility and are equipped with a flexible boom that can be adjusted to the height of a specific user. The frequency range is 100-12000 Hz, sensitivity is 45 dB. The design also features a removable "neck" and a convenient stand.
The models differ in the type of connection and power supply:
- MKE-250-1 - XLR output, powered by 220 V mains. Designed for dispatching systems, gas stations and shopping centers. A ringtone is played before the announcement of the message
- MKE-250-2 - USB-C output, USB powered. Suitable for computer calls, online conferences, streaming
A special feature of these new products is the ability to amplify speech and a narrower sound capture zone, which cuts off noise. Users get a convenient product that does not require driver installation and is able to transmit the speaker's voice clearly and loudly. The new models are suitable for use in professional fields where high-quality sound and accurate sound transmission are of great importance.
