A working copying reproduction photo installation S-64 "Yel" has appeared on sale in Moscow. The device was designed in NIL-11 in the early 1950s for the needs of the KGB. It allows you to take pictures of documents.
The "Yolka" worked from an alternating current network with different voltages (even from an on-board 12-volt car network).
Easy to use, it provided quite good negatives. Thanks to the hinged design, the device was easy to fold and took up little space when not in use, completely fitting inside the base, which served as a subject table during reproduction. The kit included two lamps for shadowless illumination of the document.
People often called the device the "shaitan suitcase", although it is compact in size. When folded, the photo installation is no larger than a book.
