Rosfinmonitoring plans to launch a register of suspicious cryptocurrency wallets. It will display the addresses of digital currencies that raise suspicions. Information about such wallets will come from banks, tax authorities, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, special services and international partners.
The register will become part of a new "Digital Ecosystem" aimed at countering money laundering and terrorist financing. It will be based on neural network algorithms that identify complex transactional chains and determine suspicious activity.
The database will include addresses not only of those who use sanctioned exchanges, but also of those who transfer funds to extremist groups, as well as owners of anonymous wallets. Special attention will be paid to the wallets of non-governmental organizations and media outlets recognized as foreign agents.
The new ecosystem will also serve to automate financial investigations and monitor transactions with the digital ruble.
