New device for treating head injuries and ADHD developed in the Moscow region

The device will soon hit the market

The company "Almatek" (residents of the technopark "Mosmedpark") has developed a unique hardware and software complex for the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with disabilities. The device works on the principle of translingual neurostimulation.

The device is designed to accelerate rehabilitation after strokes, traumatic brain injuries, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), cerebral palsy (CP), and multiple sclerosis.

Translingual neurostimulation is a rehabilitation technique that affects the central nervous system through electrical stimulation of the tongue. During a 20-minute procedure, about 27 million electrical impulses are delivered to the surface of the tongue. This helps improve the functioning of various parts of the brain. If any area of the brain is active at this moment, its functioning becomes more efficient.

If you move your arm, the areas of the cerebral cortex responsible for the function of the arm are activated, and the use of translingual neurostimulation creates additional impulses and makes the work of this area much more efficient.

Currently, the device is undergoing the process of obtaining a registration certificate and will soon be released to the market.

Earlierwww1.ru reported that the Russian HIFU therapy device "MedUza 008" for cancer treatmenthas entered a new stage of testing.
