Ural Airlines has introduced unique domestic equipment for repairing and servicing Airbus aircraft landing gear struts. The company has become the first air carrier in Russia capable of performing such work without the participation of foreign specialists.
The company has successfully launched a set of stands developed jointly with FBU Uraltest in its technical stand.
The key element was a stand for assembling hydraulic cylinders for landing gear struts, allowing for routine maintenance on certified equipment created within the import substitution program.
Igor Poddubny, Director of the Aviation Technical Center, emphasized that this service is unique to Russia. Previously, such work required sending components abroad, which increased waiting times and costs.
Now, the entire process is carried out in Yekaterinburg, which increases the efficiency and independence of maintenance. Currently, Ural Airlines operates a fleet of 52 Airbus aircraft.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that photos of two newly built Su-57 fighters appeared online.
