Russian specialists have presented a modernized Gibka-S anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) based on the Tigr armored vehicle. Now the installation is more "sharpened" to combat drones.
The update entailed a reduction in the main armament - Verba/Igla-S man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS) from 4 to 2 installations.
In order to combat enemy UAVs, this allowed the integration of a PKT tank machine gun into the combat module.
The Gibka-S anti-aircraft missile system works to cover the advance of advanced detachments. As part of a mobile fire group, there are two combat vehicles based on the Tigr vehicle: the first is equipped with a turret installation for four Verba anti-aircraft missiles, and the second is equipped with a radar station.
