A new armored car, the Sollers Atlant, has appeared on the Russian market. A special version of the vehicle with Br3 ballistic protection has been launched by ArmourGroup.
The developed armored car is intended for use by special services and is equipped with reinforced bulletproof tires. It is capable of protecting against pistol fire from a distance of five meters and fragments of an F-1 grenade.
The Sollers Atlant can be additionally equipped with options (a siren-and-speaker system, strobe lights, and a fire extinguishing system). The external differences between the armored car and the standard version are minimal, but inside there is an armored capsule that provides protection for the passenger compartment for six people.
The car was created on the basis of the Sollers Atlant with a 1.9-liter turbodiesel engine. Its cost in the basic configuration is 3.8 million rubles.
The armored Sollers Atlant from ArmourGroup will compete with the GAZ Sobol NN in the segment of vehicles for special services. Although the price of the new armored car has not yet been announced, such vehicles usually cost about twice as much as standard versions.
