At least 20 million people witnessed the launch of the "Victory Rocket" on MAER's outdoor screens.
Yesterday, the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket with the Soyuz MS-27 manned spacecraft was successfully launched from Baikonur. This launch, timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of Victory, became an event for the whole country.
The live broadcast of the historic launch was seen by 20 million people across Russia — from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok, as well as viewers gathered near MAER's outdoor screens.
The broadcast in Moscow attracted special attention. For example, cadets of the Diplomatic School of the First Moscow Cadet Corps watched the launch on the MAER media facade located at the "CSKA Arena."
