Construction of a new transport interchange is underway in St. Petersburg, which will provide convenient access to Pulkovo Airport from the M-11 Neva high-speed highway. Work on the construction of the embankment and two exits at the junction with the highway has already been completed.
The installation of bored piles for three overpasses is underway at the site, and earthworks are also being carried out. The total length of the two artificial structures above Pulkovo Highway is 614 meters. They will be supported by 17 supports. For the overpass over the M-11, 55 meters long, the construction of three more supports is planned. At the moment, 70% of the pile foundations have already been completed.
After completion of construction, the total length of the new transport infrastructure with exits will be 5.5 km. This will create a direct exit from the M-11 high-speed highway to the airport area.
The new interchange will be an important step in the development of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, opening up new opportunities for socio-economic progress. Construction is being carried out on behalf of the President, and the facility is scheduled to be commissioned at the end of 2026.
