The Russian company Shacman Motors LLC (representing the Chinese manufacturer of Shacman trucks) together with the Chinese factory Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile Co is preparing a project to localize production in Russia. This was announced at a press conference by Vladimir Pichugin, a representative of the Shacman dealer community.
Shacman Motors and the Shaanxi factory are currently preparing a project to organize the production of equipment in the Russian Federation.
At the moment, the details of the project remain unknown, including information about the site where the assembly of cars will begin.
Earlier, Rosstandart banned the import and sale of Shacman SX3258 trucks due to the non-compliance of vehicles with a number of mandatory requirements. Pichugin also noted that Shacman Motors has developed a plan to eliminate the claims from the department and is ready to begin a recall campaign within the stated deadlines. The review period for the program will be 30 days.
