An export version of the Tor-M2K short-range anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) was presented at the LAAD 2025 International Latin American Aviation and Defense Systems Exhibition in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
"Tor-M2K" is a complex developed and manufactured by the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant "Kupol" (part of the Almaz-Antey Air Defense Concern), placed on a wheeled chassis. "Tor" is capable of providing air defense for ground military and strategic facilities in all weather and climatic conditions.
The missile armament and radar equipment of the "Tor" allow detecting and guaranteed destruction of both helicopters and aircraft of any type, as well as unmanned vehicles, guided aerial bombs, anti-radar and cruise missiles, MLRS shells and other air attack weapons.
Complexes can be integrated with other air defense systems, which creates an echeloned air defense system capable of building several levels of protection. The Tor-M2K air defense system can engage targets flying from any direction at speeds up to 730 m/s, at altitudes up to 12 km and ranges up to 16 km. The maximum speed of the combat vehicle is 80 km/h.
Earlier www1.ru reported that in Russia, a UAV flew between regions for the first time according to civil aviation rules.
