The drone drew an eight in the sky in honor of Ovechkin's number in the Washington Capitals HC, as well as a symbol of endless love for sports and the boundless victories of the Russian hockey player. The total length of the drone's route was more than 8 kilometers.

It is specified that the aviation drone was equipped with a tracker connected to the ERA-GLONASS state information system, which allowed it to draw the track of the aircraft online.

On Sunday, March 6, Ovechkin set a record for the number of goals in regular NHL championships. In the away match against the New York Islanders (1:4), he scored his 895th goal and surpassed Gretzky (894).
