On the day of the event, the website of "Total Dictation" faced DDoS attacks, according to the director of the foundation, Vyacheslav Belyakov. Technical support tried to resolve the issue. The voluntary annual educational event for all lovers of literate written Russian language took place on April 5 in 50 countries and online.
The director of the foundation, Vyacheslav Belyakov, noted that the attacks on the website on April 5 started at 10:00 AM. A similar story with the website crashing on the day registration for "Total Dictation" starts is not the first time, but this year not only their online platform faced the attack.
Despite the difficulties with accessing the official website, many were able to join the event online through social networks, where recordings of the dictations of the first three parts of Marina Moskvina's text were posted.
According to the press service, participants wrote the dictation in Vladivostok, Chita, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, and other cities. Abroad - in Vietnam, India, Kazakhstan, and China. In Anadyr, a veteran of the Siege of Leningrad wrote the dictation.
The text by writer Marina Moskvina was dictated in universities, schools, libraries, and other unusual places. Celebrities, public figures, and cultural workers, including Dmitry Malikov, Vladimir Pozner, and Svetlana Kryuchkova, acted as dictation readers.
