Уловит колебание даже на дне Байкала: разработан инновационный сверхточный прибор для измерения температуры

The device can detect temperature fluctuations down to 0.001°С

At the Institute of Petroleum Geology and Geophysics (IPGG SB RAS), a device for high-precision temperature measurement has been created, capable of operating on the bottom of Lake Baikal. The device transmits data via GPS and is designed for climate monitoring and studying water circulation.

The developers emphasize the importance of a thorough approach to research in remote locations. The device is highly accurate and can measure temperatures up to 0.001°С.

Such accuracy is necessary when solving special research tasks in conditions of long-term autonomous operation for measuring temperature in remote locations (well, bottom of a reservoir, man-made objects, etc.).

The device is a measuring cable with sensors. At a certain point in time, the sensors measure the temperature, and then sequentially transmit information through an analog-to-digital converter. A special device is used for this — a switch.

The new design of the device eliminates measurement errors caused by connecting wires by using individual converters for each sensor.
