Russia continues to build a series of nuclear-powered submarine cruisers of Project 885M (08851) Yasen-M. At the end of March, another ship of the project, Perm, was launched at Sevmash.
According to the Tekhnosfera Rossiya portal, as of the spring of 2025, the Russian Navy has one boat of the basic Project 885 and four of the modernized Project 885M.
The fifth Yasen-M, Perm, launched on March 27, is under construction, and the boat is expected to be commissioned in 2026.
The nuclear-powered submarine cruisers of Project 885M Voronezh and Vladivostok are also under construction in Severodvinsk, and the laying of the Bratsk is expected in 2025.
The armament of the Yasen-M project includes vertical silo launchers for launching Oniks and Kalibr cruise missiles, and submarines can also be equipped with hypersonic Zircon missiles.
