The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has made changes to the list of cars subject to luxury tax. Now, Chinese cars have been included in this list. The corresponding document was published on the agency's website on March 28.
The list of models traditionally represented in it, such as Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Genesis, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Lexus, Maserati, and Mercedes-Benz, has been supplemented with cars from China: Aito, Seres, Tank, Voyah, and Zeekr.
This concerns cars that cost 10 million rubles or more. Owners of vehicles included in the agency's list will have to pay transport tax for 2025 with an increasing coefficient.
The publicly available list includes 303 cars costing from 10 to 15 million rubles and no older than 10 years. The list also includes 252 vehicles up to 20 years old, with prices starting from 15 million rubles.
All vehicle owners are required to pay transport tax. Its amount depends on the engine power in horsepower, the tax rate, which is set in each region of vehicle registration, and the duration of vehicle ownership.
The tax on premium car brands was introduced in 2014.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Exeed presented a new VX C-DM hybrid crossover in the Chinese market, which will be produced in Russia. This model impresses with its characteristics: power — 775 horsepower, all-wheel drive, length — 5 meters, as well as rich equipment and low fuel consumption — only 1.5 liters per 100 kilometers.
