IT company "Algorithm S" (part of the Sinara Group) has developed an innovative system for autonomous trolleybus movement. It has been successfully launched in Chelyabinsk, according to the press service of the Sinara - Transport Machines holding.
The innovative transport energy storage system SNET74 is aimed at ensuring technological independence, including import substitution. This equipment is necessary for the movement of trolleybuses without connection to the contact network.
The equipment was delivered from Moscow and installed on one of the trolleybuses in Chelyabinsk. Specialists carried out adjustment and calibration of parameters and conducted a test run on the territory of the depot.
System tests include testing in urban conditions on various routes with a full trolleybus load. Autonomous running is a new and important advantage for trolleybuses. Thanks to this function, Chelyabinsk managed to maintain trolleybus traffic on key routes even in the context of modernization of the contact network.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the first Russian unmanned tram departed to the streets of Moscow.
