The Chelyabinsk company "DST-Ural" has tested the 450 hp 8487.10-03 engine installed on the D30 bulldozer. The power unit was developed by specialists from the Tutaev Motor Plant (TMZ, a subsidiary of KamAZ).
The 55-ton D30 bulldozer is designed for performing large-scale quarry operations: layered development of rocky soils, moving rocks, planning sites, routes, and other auxiliary operations.
The D30 bulldozer with the 8487.10-03 engine has accumulated more than 1100 operating hours at the facilities of a major oil producing company in the Tyumen region. The average fuel consumption was 23-25 liters per hour.
The DST-Ural report states that the bulldozer equipped with the new engine "moves confidently, using a ripper, digging into frozen ground."
