The company "Transport of the Future" has announced the construction of a gigafactory for the production of lithium-ion batteries in New Moscow in cooperation with the government of the capital. This was announced by the CEO of the company, Yuri Kozarenko.
The new plant is planned to produce lithium-ion batteries with a total capacity of 4 GWh per year.
It is assumed that the plant will be able to fully cover the needs of the UAV industry in Russian batteries and occupy a significant share of the market in other industries: the production of stationary energy storage, electric transport.
Currently, "Transport of the Future" has already launched a workshop for the production of lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 20 MWh per year in Samara. The opening of the gigafactory in New Moscow will significantly expand the company's production capabilities.
