Tver Carriage Works (TVZ), part of Transmashholding (TMH), manufactured the anniversary, thousandth car of the "Ivolga" electric train in March. This car will be part of the 92nd train produced since the series was launched.
During the production of 1000 cars, about 40 million tons of metal were used, more than 13 million linear meters of cables and wires, 60 thousand passenger seats were installed, 100 thousand charging devices of various types and 16 thousand windows.
The "Ivolga" electric train is a completely domestic development, work on which began in 2013. The first "Ivolga" trains appeared on the "Moscow Belorusskaya - Novoperedelkino" route as part of the Central Suburban Passenger Company. The design of the electric train was developed by the National Center for Industrial Design and Innovation 2050.LAB.
The popularity of "Ivolga" is growing: if 220 cars were produced in 2024, then more than 360 are planned for production in 2025.
