Прописка по новому адресу: командный модуль космического корабля «Аполлон-10» и капсула «Союза» поменяют галерею в Лондоне

Until April 22, everyone can see the exhibits at the old address

Thanks to the existence of the "Exploring Space" gallery, visitors to the London Museum have been able to learn amazing facts about space for 40 years. Now, guests will be presented with a new exhibition called "Space," which will open this fall. The gallery will become a new home for rare exhibits. The Soyuz capsule and the Apollo 10 spacecraft command module will be no exception.

These museum exhibits have managed to distinguish themselves in their time. For example, "Charlie Brown" (the Apollo 10 spacecraft) circled the Moon back in 1969, when it was preparing humanity for the first landing. Now the ship is not in the USA, but the Smithsonian Institution owns it. And in the Soyuz capsule in 2016, Tim Peake, an astronaut from the UK, returned to Earth from the International Space Station. Therefore, the TMA-19M exhibit (as the Soyuz capsule is called) will be placed next to the Apollo 10 lunar module.

The gallery will also feature the Sokol spacesuit of domestic production, which has already been sent for restoration. It belongs to Helen Sharman, the first British woman in space. You can still visit the old exhibition until April 22.
