The Tomsk region is preparing to create a cluster of microwave electronics and unmanned technologies. The authorities' decision was announced by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov at a recent industry meeting in Tomsk. According to him, the creation of the cluster will be an important step for the development of the region.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Andrey Yatskin said that for the successful implementation of the cluster, it is necessary to combine the efforts of federal, regional and private investments. The first results of work on the cluster will be presented in the fall of this year.
As part of the development of unmanned aircraft systems technologies, the government has allocated more than 4 billion rubles to create a network of scientific and production centers. Subsidies will be received by seven regions that have won the competitive selection.
By September 1, a roadmap will be prepared in the region for the launch of the cluster, which will be a significant step in the development of high technologies in the Tomsk region.
