The Federal Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Center for Collective Use has appeared in the Rudnevo industrial park in the capital as part of the implementation of the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Moscow Mayor's press service reported.
The center was created to provide residents with services for the production of UAS components, assemblies and components. Currently, there are more than 35 pieces of equipment on its territory, including laser machines and 3D printing printers.
The center was organized in less than a year, and 12 Russian companies are already operating on its base. Among them is NPO Strela, whose employees are developing means of reconnaissance of ground targets, radar stations. In addition, the company's engineers are engaged in the production of helicopter-type UAVs.
The Moscow Mayor's press service also reported that they plan to open a laboratory for aerodynamic testing of drones and a flight complex for light civil helicopters in the center. A college will appear here, graduating about 350 specialized specialists.
In September, the Russian Racing Federation opened a training center for UAV piloting in Rudnevo Park.
Earlier, a presentation of the SH-3000 unmanned civil helicopter from Aeromax took place here.
