The state information system «ERA-GLONASS» is ready to fulfill the function of a unified drone identification system within the timeframe set by the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was announced by Alexey Raikevich, General Director of JSC «GLONASS».
The head of state instructed to create a unified drone identification system in Russia by June 1, 2025.
The vehicle monitoring platform based on «ERA-GLONASS» has been successfully tested in several regions, transmitting legally significant data and aircraft tracks to regional situation centers and operational headquarters, as well as federal supervisory authorities.
Raikevich explained that the location and identification of drones will be performed using external and built-in trackers with an integrated SIM card, the profile of which is loaded in encrypted form directly into the device's memory.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the country's largest flight test complex for drones opened in the «Rudnevo» industrial park.
