Russian components are needed for heavy-duty machines used in aviation

The STAN machine tool holding (part of Rostec) has started serial production of ST-03 milling heads for heavy-duty machines used in the aviation industry. The products will replace foreign models.

The ST-03 two-axis fork milling heads are suitable for working with titanium. Their production has been established at the plant in Kolomna.

Features of ST-03: designed for five-coordinate CNC gantry machining centers SK6P200, can process large metal workpieces, including wing parts up to 24 m long.

ST-03 milling heads were developed in just 8 months. The first machines with new components have passed factory tests and have been put into industrial operation.

The holding continues to develop and expand its own production of component base.
