The Kirov "Mayak" plant (part of the "Kalashnikov" concern) is re-equipping production lines and updating its machine park. This was reported by the press service of the concern.
The company has put into operation a wire EDM machine (designed for manufacturing tools, machine parts). It operates in the workshop where tool production is carried out.
The factory workers have started commissioning work on five-axis milling machines. The equipment will increase the speed and improve the quality of parts processing.
In parallel with the modernization of equipment, a new electroplating shop with an area of 2500 m² is under construction. Workers have almost completed pouring the foundation. In February, they will begin installing metal structures. The shop will start operating in the summer of 2025.

The machine-building enterprise was founded in 1941 in Kirov. The plant produces military and civilian products. In addition, it produces technological equipment and tools, control and testing equipment.
