Северный флот успешно освоил атомные ракетоносцы «Борей-А» с межконтинентальной «Булавой»

Project 955 Submarines are also equipped with torpedo tubes

The Northern Fleet of Russia successfully operates new multi-purpose nuclear submarines of projects 885 "Yasen" and 885M "Yasen-M", and has also mastered the strategic missile carriers of projects 955 "Borei" and 955A "Borei-A", equipped with advanced technologies and advanced models of high-precision long-range missile weapons. This was reported by the press service of the fleet.

The Northern Fleet includes several formations of nuclear submarines. The basis is made up of strategic missile submarines of the third and fourth generations.

Ships of Project 667 BDRM code "Dolphin", to which the submarine "Novomoskovsk" belongs, are among the most reliable nuclear submarines. They successfully operate in any latitude of the World Ocean, including in the Arctic — under the ice cap of the North Pole.

Submarines of the "Borei-A" project are a double-hulled submarine: the reactor, missile silos, turbines and crew are located in a strong hull, capable of withstanding high water pressure. Outside there is a "light" hull, giving the submarine a streamlined shape.

The submarines are armed with the D-30 missile system — launchers for intercontinental ballistic missiles "Bulava", equipped with torpedo tubes.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Su-30SM2 fighters and Su-24M bombers practiced strikes against warships in the Baltic.
