AvtoVAZ has temporarily postponed the start of mass production of Lada Iskra.
The reason for the delay is a shortage of components. This was reported by the press service of the company "Automotive Systems and Technologies." It supplies engine control harnesses for Lada Iskra.
For our part, we hope for a speedy resolution of all issues and a resumption of production.
The launch of production has been postponed to the spring of 2025; initially, production was planned for the winter. AvtoVAZ did not comment on the situation.
The Lada Iskra car was introduced in 2024. The car will be offered in sedan, station wagon and cross-station wagon bodies. The model will receive a 1.6-liter engine (90 and 106 hp) with a manual gearbox (5- or 6-speed) or a CVT.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the characteristics of the new Lada Iskra have been declassified.
