A ship repair cluster of the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) will appear on the territory of the "Coal Base" in the Murmansk Fishing Port (MMRP), said Andrey Borodin, General Director of the port.
Currently, design and survey works are underway, and property issues are being resolved.
The project implementation period and its cost will be determined when the design is completed. According to Borodin, MMRP will develop in three directions: as a coastal base for the fishing industry, as a ship repair center, and as a container transshipment point.
The "Coal Base" will accept fishing vessels and ships operating along the Northern Sea Route for repair. According to the government of the Murmansk region, investments in the GTLK ship repair cluster will exceed 20 billion rubles.
