С разрешением 0,5 метра на пиксель: в России проходят испытания нового спутника

The device will be launched into near-Earth orbit at an altitude of 500 km in 2027

The Rocket and Space Corporation "Energia" has begun testing a dynamic model of a new satellite. This was reported by the Foundation for Supporting Projects of the National Technology Initiative (NTI).

The model passed vibration resistance tests at various stages, the ability to withstand vibration loading, and showed high quality of mechanical assembly. Testing of the model will be completed by the end of the year.

The new satellite is planned to be launched into near-Earth orbit at an altitude of 500 kilometers. From there, the device will receive images of the Earth's surface with a resolution of 0.5 meters per pixel.

The launch of the spacecraft is scheduled for 2027.

Earlier www1.ru reported that by 2030, 292 active satellites of the Russian RASSVET system are planned to be deployed in near-Earth orbit.
