Низкоорбитальный прорыв: Россия готовит запуск спутниковой сети нового поколения к 2027 году

More than 250 domestic low-orbit satellites are expected to be launched

The Russian low-orbit satellite constellation is planned to be put into pilot commercial operation by the end of 2026 – beginning of 2027.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko stated that the main goal of the launch is to provide fast and cheap internet, available anywhere in the country and the world, even in the absence of complex ground infrastructure. The launch of a low-orbit constellation will reduce the cost of the internet and expand its availability.

Full internet coverage is necessary for the development of unmanned vehicle technologies, artificial intelligence, and other modern technologies that depend on constant access to the network.

Alexey Shelobkov, CEO of Bureau 1440, noted that it is planned to launch more than 250 domestic low-orbit satellites by 2027. They will be used to meet the needs of medium and large businesses, government agencies, telecom operators, and private clients in areas such as mining, exploration, agriculture, transportation, and tourism.
