UAZ has localized car production to 95-96%. A year earlier, domestic components in the manufacturer's cars were 80-85%. This was announced by Alexey Spirin, General Director of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant.
The manufacturer not only increased the share of domestic components, but is also налаживает the production of its own units and assemblies (gearboxes, motors, transfer cases).
We managed to quickly find alternative options. One example is the engine control units that suddenly became unavailable, and we replaced them with domestic analogues in the shortest possible time.
This year, UAZ will launch a full-cycle production for the creation of airbags. The company is also working on the localization of engine control units, wiring, pipes and fasteners.
