"Caliber" carriers, corvettes of the Navy, helped liberate a vessel captured by mock terrorists

After completing the tasks of the naval stage of the exercises, the Project 20380 ships returned to the port of Chabahar

During naval exercises in the Gulf of Oman, the crews of ships from Russia, Iran, and China practiced skills in searching for and liberating a vessel captured by terrorists as part of the "Maritime Security Belt - 2025" exercises.

The Russian side in the exercise is represented by the corvettes "Rezkiy" and "Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov" of Project 20380, as well as the sea tanker "Pechenga" of the Pacific Fleet.

During the key episodes of the exercises, the naval sailors jointly discovered a vessel captured by mock terrorists and practiced an operation by special units to liberate it.

Over two days, the ship crews conducted firing from large-caliber machine guns and small arms at targets simulating unmanned boats and unmanned aerial vehicles of a mock enemy.

The armament of the 20380 series corvettes includes launchers for "Uran" or "Caliber-NK" anti-ship missiles (depending on the ship's modification), artillery mounts, an anti-aircraft missile system, grenade launchers, and machine gun mounts. They have anti-submarine and anti-torpedo defense.
