Insiders have published a photo of the new Lada Niva Sport SUV, which is already undergoing testing.
One of the main changes is the absence of the signature spare tire under the hood, which was previously a distinctive feature of the model. Now, the spare wheel is offered to be transported in the trunk, which the developers hint at in the test version of the car.
The technical characteristics of the Lada Niva Sport have undergone significant improvements. Acceleration to 100 km/h now takes only 10 seconds - 7 seconds faster than the standard version. Engine power has been increased to 122 hp (+40 hp), and the maximum speed has increased from 142 to 160 km/h.
Another important innovation is the updated braking system: disc brakes have been installed instead of rear drum brakes. This has reduced the braking distance by 8 meters, which has significantly improved the safety and handling of the car at high speeds.
