The crew of the Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) performs tasks to cover units, places of concentration of personnel, artillery and equipment from reconnaissance UAVs and cruise missiles. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
During combat operations, the crew destroyed a Furia drone that was conducting aerial reconnaissance. Now the military wants to "replenish the piggy bank" by eliminating another scout - "Backfire".
Artillery is behind us, that is, we shoot down drones so that they cannot conduct reconnaissance. We provide maximum cover, it works on reconnaissance drones. Of the last ones, they shot down "Furia", we are hunting for "Backfire", it has not yet flown to us.
ZRK "Strela-10" The Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system is capable of destroying aerial targets at a range of up to 5000 meters and at an altitude of up to 3500 meters. After the missile is launched, the crew of the combat vehicle changes position in a matter of seconds in order to avoid a retaliatory strike.
