The bodies of the Lada Niva Sport model will be welded at the facilities of the former experimental industrial production (OPP) of AvtoVAZ.
Previously, this division produced various models, including extended versions of the Lada Niva and sports modifications, such as the Lada Kalina Sport. It included a full-fledged assembly line, designed to produce 15 thousand cars per year, and had a staff of over 2 thousand people. In December 2015, the OPP was declared unprofitable and suspended its activities. 
Recently, AvtoVAZ resumed the operation of this division for the production of Lada Niva Sport bodies. The model's bodies are reinforced compared to the standard ones, so a separate welding station was organized for their welding. At this station, one specialist uses a semi-automatic welding machine to install additional brackets in the engine compartment and reinforces the bottom. 
This approach allows for the efficient production of the necessary body modifications without mixing the processes with the production of standard models.
