КамАЗ создаёт новую кабину для спецтехники и коммунальных автомобилей

The new modernized cabin will later be adapted for the K5 truck line

KamAZ has developed a new type of cabin that will initially be installed on fire trucks and later adapted for civilian models of the K5 generation.

The new development aims to increase the popularity of the modern truck line and should eventually replace the outdated K3 generation models.

The "Traks Vostok Rus" plant has already manufactured the cabin frame for the Ministry of Emergency Situations special equipment. The production of the new modification required the introduction of six stamping and six control tooling sets.

The developed compact module features a low boarding height, which facilitates quick exit for the crew. The provision for a ladder on top makes the design convenient for fire trucks.

In the future, such cabins may also find application in municipal equipment, such as garbage trucks, where a minimal boarding height is important, and the presence of a motor tunnel does not create inconvenience.

Currently, the K5 generation trucks are equipped with two cabin options: the flagship model 54901 received a spacious version with a wide cabin, high roof, and flat floor, while the regional tractor 54902 has a more compact version with a lowered roof and motor tunnel. The new development will be the third option, offering a unique solution for the Ministry of Emergency Situations special equipment.
