Specialists of the International Mine Action Center (IMAC) have significantly modernized the Uran-6 multi-functional robotic demining complex. This was announced by the head of the center, Oleg Kryzhanovsky.

According to him, the "Uran-6" has enhanced armor protection and improved communication system. The robot allows for continuous clearing of the area from explosive objects and making passages in minefields.

The complex includes the demining machine itself, a remote control complex consisting of a control console and an ergonomic backpack, a set of technical support equipment, and various attachments.

Main characteristics of the "Uran-6" demining machine:

  • Track gauge — 1230 mm
  • Weight in running order — 6000 kg
  • Control and video transmission range: in an open area — up to 800 m, in urban conditions — up to 300 m
  • Engine power — 176 kW, 240 hp
  • Weight of the remote control system — no more than 15
