Tango Six: Serbia Purchased Soviet BTR-80As and MiG-29s from Hungary

One of the fighters will become a donor of parts for the Serbian Air Force's MiG-29 fleet

Since the summer of 2024, 15 Soviet MiG-29 fighters from Hungary have entered service with the Serbian Air Force and Air Defense. This was reported to the Tango Six portal by Nenad Miloradovic, Assistant Minister of Defense of Serbia for Material Resources.

According to Miloradovic, Serbia bought a lot of different equipment from Hungary on very favorable terms.

Prior to this, the Serbian Ministry of Defense received Soviet BTR-80As. The armored personnel carriers were in service with the Hungarian Armed Forces. The publication did not specify the number of APCs purchased.
