MTS Expects to Receive 20,000 Base Stations by 2030

In 2024, the operator has already installed about 200 base stations in 37 regions of Russia

MTS plans to receive about 20,000 domestically produced base stations from Irteya by 2030. In 2025, the company intends to install 1,000 base stations. This data was presented as part of a presentation dedicated to financial results.

In addition, in 2024, the operator installed about 200 base stations in 37 regions of Russia. The construction of another 1,000 base stations from Irteya is planned for 2025.

Irteya LLC is a telecommunications vendor, a Russian developer and manufacturer of base stations for 5G and LTE networks. 50% of the company belongs to PJSC MTS.

Earlier it became known that MTS received a patent for a system that allows detecting theft in power grids. This development, based on artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms, allows you to quickly identify unusual changes in energy consumption and find illegal mining farms.
