Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that on March 8, 2025, all street parking in the city will be free, including areas with high rates (380, 450 and 600 rubles/hour) and dynamic pricing.
The exception is capital parking lots with barriers – they will continue to operate in the usual paid mode.
Authorities remind that parking is free in Moscow on Sundays and public holidays. In 2025, Muscovites will have 72 days of free parking: 22 holidays and 50 Sundays. However, usually on streets with high rates, parking remains paid on Sundays, but an exception is made on March 8.
