The developer and manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles, "Transport of the Future," will launch an experiment in the Samara Oblast to deliver goods using S-80 drones. This was reported by the company's press service.
The CEO of "Transport of the Future," Yuri Kozarenko, emphasized that the Samara Oblast is a pilot site. Here, a delivery scheme will be tested, which they subsequently want to scale across Russia.
Our S-80 delivery drone has received a certificate of airworthiness and can be used for flights in the city.
Drones will deliver parcels to automated parcel lockers (postamats), from where recipients can pick them up. Droneports will be installed for the technical maintenance of UAVs.
Kozarenko is confident that this project has great prospects. That is why the company plans to invest about 5.6 billion rubles in the production of postamats, droneports, and logistics drones.
