The certification system of the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control (FSTEC) has confirmed the security of Sber's biometric platform, which is used to pay for goods and services. Sber is the only Russian operator of commercial biometric systems to have received such approval from the regulator.
Biometric authentication is integrated into the bank's mass services. It replaces passes and bank cards. Paying with a smile, which allows you to make purchases simply by looking at the camera, is especially popular among Russians.
Our biometric system is now operating throughout the country. Russians have already become accustomed to the new technology and last year paid for goods and services with a smile 25 million times.
According to him, certification according to the requirements of FSTEC of Russia confirmed the high new level of security of the bank's biometric services.
