The Lada Vesta car may become cheaper in Russia due to 100,000 cars accumulated in warehouses, according to the Mash Telegram channel.
The cars were specifically accumulated for taxi fleets, but in the end, they were not needed. The reserves were prepared under the draft law "On Domestic Taxis", under which foreign economy-class cars in taxis were planned to be replaced with brand new Lada Vesta.
However, due to the sharp increase in tariffs and the dismissal of thousands of drivers, the legislative initiative is pending consideration in the State Duma. Now AvtoVAZ intends to start selling Vesta with a 3% discount to combat surpluses.
