The acoustic reconnaissance system has become a budget analogue of the 1B75 "Penicillin" artillery reconnaissance system.
The principle of operation of the BUKH1a is based on receiving and processing acoustic waves from shots and explosions to determine the location of enemy guns. The range of the complex varies depending on the gun and ranges from 1 to 25 km.
