Iranian air defense forces have deployed mixed anti-aircraft missile brigades around nuclear facilities. These include the Russian Tor-M1 SAM system and the universal mobile multi-channel anti-aircraft missile system S-300PMU-2 Favorit. This was reported by Islamic world news.

The system is a continuation of the S-300PMU-1. The SAM system received the 48N6E2 missile, which has increased effectiveness in engaging ballistic targets at a distance of up to 40 km. The S-300PMU-2 is equipped with a new autonomous targeting system, the 96L6E radar.
