The Russian operational-tactical missile system (OTRK) "Iskander-M" belongs to high-precision weapons, since the average circular deviation of the system's ammunition from the target does not exceed five meters. This was stated by military expert, retired Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk.
The average circular deviation of the "Iskander" from the aiming point is a maximum of five meters. That is, the aiming point allows you to destroy objects with a 100 percent probability: command posts, the location of barracks, the location of warehouses, and the like.
The Iskander-M's ammunition range includes high-explosive fragmentation, concrete-piercing, cluster, incendiary, and nuclear charges. The missiles are guided to the target via a satellite system, with a homing head operating in the final section.
"Iskander-M" is used to destroy enemy air defense systems, as well as other important objects at a maximum range of up to 500 km.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the "Berezhok" combat module has been adapted to protect ports.
