In 2024, Russian citizens spent about 5 trillion rubles on the purchase of new passenger cars. Almost half of this amount was directed to the purchase of cars of the five leading brands, whose combined share amounted to 49.1% of the total cost.
The domestic brand Lada demonstrated significant success, taking first place in the structure of the financial capacity of the Russian car market with a figure of 11.8% of total expenses. A year earlier, Lada occupied the second position, losing the lead to the Chery brand.
The second place with a share of 11.2% was taken by the Chinese manufacturer Geely. The third place went to another Chinese brand - Haval, whose share was 10.5%. Both manufacturers improved their positions compared to the previous year, rising one line higher.
The top five are closed by the automotive brands Chery and Changan, which took fourth and fifth places with shares of 9.4% and 6.2%, respectively.
