Mysterious self-guided "surface-to-surface" missile developed for the Russian military: first footage of combat operations

These missiles are capable of effectively engaging targets beyond the line of sight

The Russian military has begun using a new "surface-to-surface" missile of an as-yet unknown type. The authors of the publication called the used product unique, but did not report details.

A discussion has unfolded on social networks about this. Various assumptions are being made, but it is clear that we are talking about a new complex of the "surface-to-surface" type with self-guidance.

Such weapons are capable of operating beyond the line of sight, at long distances. It does not matter that the targets are hidden behind forest massifs, multi-story buildings or rural buildings, or hidden in the folds of the terrain.

A great advantage is the ability of the operator, on whose console the image from the homing head (GOS) is transmitted, to adjust the flight of the ammunition in real time.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Rostec showed all domestic engines for promising helicopters and airplanes.
