Today, February 20, 2025, at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, specialists from RSC Energia, named after S.P. Korolev, together with representatives from Roscosmos, successfully docked the Progress MS-30 cargo ship with the transfer compartment. The operation took place in the assembly and test facility of Site 254.
The transfer compartment provides a mechanical connection between the ship and the payload fairing and integrates the Progress command interface into the control system of the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle. After completing the docking work, specialists conducted a test activation of the command and telemetry system equipment and prepared the new cargo ship for the upcoming author's inspection.
The launch of the Progress MS-30 cargo ship to the ISS from Site 31 of Baikonur on a Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle is scheduled for February 28.
Traditionally, the space truck will deliver equipment for experiments to the International Space Station, as well as food, water, equipment for astronauts, and other supplies necessary for life in orbit.
