Space freighter Progress MS-30 docked with transfer compartment

Work on integrating the spacecraft into the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle system was successful

Today, February 20, 2025, at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, specialists from RSC Energia named after S.P. Korolev, together with representatives of Roscosmos, successfully docked the Progress MS-30 cargo ship with the transfer compartment. The operation took place in the assembly and test building of the 254th site.

The transfer compartment provides a mechanical connection between the ship and the head fairing and integrates the Progress command interface into the control system of the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle. Having completed the docking work, the specialists carried out a test activation of the command and telemetry system equipment and prepared a new truck for the upcoming author's inspection.

The launch of the Progress MS-30 cargo ship to the ISS from the 31st site of Baikonur on the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle is scheduled for February 28.

According to tradition, the space freighter will deliver equipment for experiments to the International Space Station, as well as food, water, equipment for astronauts and other supplies necessary for life in orbit.
